Do Testosterone Supplements Really Work?

Earlier this month we were given the exciting task of reviewing a wide variety of natural testosterone boosting products. I’ll be perfectly blunt, the majority of them turned out to be completely useless, but while doing our testing we were astonished by one product in particular: TKA1:200 a standardised Tongkat Ali extract produced at 2.4% Eurycomanone strength, manufactured by the Swiss company World A.B.S.

Our initial intention was to run a product shootout involving some of the best-known testosterone boosters on the market; our product testing would include thirty male participants varying from 18 to 50 years of age. But after the first week, it became apparent that the majority of these T-boosting products that we had purchased for our trial were proving ineffective.

Going into week two of our four-week trial it seemed pointless to compare these products against each other. So we went back to the drawing board and decided to use our willing subjects to do an extensive trial of TKA1:200, the standardised Tongkat Ali extract that seemed to be the only effective testosterone booster we had available.

TKA1:200 Reviewed

THE SETUP: Over the next four weeks our subjects were administered two capsules per day, one first thing in the morning, the second capsule last thing at night. Blood tests were taken at the same time weekly to determine the testosterone level of each participant.

RESULTS: From day one to the final day of week two of the TKA 1:200 tesitng the average overall group increase was 56% with Subject 08 showing the biggest increase of 210% moving from a low testosterone level of 210 ng/dL up to 680 ng/dL in 14 days; this shows that subject 08 was in the low testosterone zone moving into an average testosterone level (for his age) while using the TKA 1:200 extract.

LOW RESPONDER: Our lowest testosterone increase was Subject 05 with a 9% increase from 940 ng/dL up slightly to 1020 ng/dL.

NEGATIVE  EFFECTS: Three subjects reported nausea after taking the capsules on an empty stomach, to counter this a light meal or large glass of water was advised to be taken with the capsules and symptoms subsided.

CONCLUSION: If you are looking for a natural testosterone booster we can advise from our findings that Tongkat Ali extract seems to be the best viable option with 2.4% Eurycomanone from World A.B.S in a class of its own. The lowest responder from our trial saw a minor increase but it is to be noted that Subject 05 started with a relatively high testosterone level to begin with, these things need to be taken into consideration and further research is recommended.

    I took TKA1:200 recently at 3 capsules per day for a month, it blow me away, my T-levels are sky high, should I continue for another month do you think?

      Hi Paul,

      That depends on your desired outcome, if you are working out and gaining muscle then another 4 week cycle would be great.

    After searching for a top quality natural T-booster for some years, I narrowed my search down to Tongkat Ali as the best supplement for the job.

    I then research further into the various Tongkat Ali products available and the different forms it comes in, after many months of late nights on the laptop reading various articles, including this one, I went and purchased two bottles of TKA1:200 and I’m so glad I did. My testosterone is now up by 160% from 480ng/dl to around 1250ng/dl. I feel so much better for it too.
